Phantom of the Opera
Feb. 10th, 2008 12:22 amOkay, so I just finished watching the 2004 version of Phantom of the Opera. Apparently women of all ages have watched and swooned over it many years ago, but I'm slow when it comes to the movie watching business.
So, you people know I'm a choir geek right? Semi-professional choir- ten years. Actually performed music by Andrew and William Lloyd Webber along the years, so I'm pretty familiar with the composing style. (it got to the point where I would amuse myself by stopping the movie in the middle of a music piece and sing what I thought the next few notes/words were going to be. And most of the time I was right. Composers are so predictable, oy)
Anyway, so I finished watching the movie.
And I almost cried.
You've heard rumours. You've read reviews.
And YES.
Gerard Butler's singing is really that tragic.
