Take It Back with a Paid Account

You know what they say: comment in haste, repent in leisure. Whether it's because you've had time to think through your argument a little more clearly or you can't stand the thought of a misspelled word standing for eternity, there can be a lot to regret in commenting too quickly. Those lucky users with Paid accounts, however, don’t have to worry about such things. That's because one of the many perks of having a Paid account is that you can edit your comments. So if you've ever clicked Post Comment in the heat of the moment and lived to regret it, it might be time to
upgrade to a Paid account.

So goddamn true. But not enough to make me change to a Paid account. I don't use LJ to THAT extent. I am slowly branching out more, but I'm not in the main stream of things. I don't regularly visit all those links about Entertainment and News and everything at the top of the page. I just post to my journal and frequent my communities. Do you feel this is too insular an approach, and I'm missing out?

[Error: unknown template qotd]The Prisoner of Azkaban.
The first three books were nicely done, and we could see her stretching out into her universe. Later, I think she had lots of ideas and couldn't express them fully because she wrongly constrained herself to only seven books right when she first started out.

The first three had good pacing and time for information processing. Latter books were sometimes stuck like three opposing gears, trying to tie up past history, continue existing stories, and move forward at the same time.

Prisoner of Azkaban is a good first look into the darkness and depth of the wizard universe. The first two books dealt more with Voldemort's history, but the third book examines the impacts and reprecussions in wizarding history and politics. I personally feel effects can be more interesting than the event that caused them. The ripples in the pond are more interesting than what is thrown in. Prisoner of Azkaban is our first glimpse of this.
