New email from LJ Releases saying, "Cool your tits, everyone. We've received your (likely) angry feedback, and we're on it." Come BACK, everyone who decided to ran away to Dreamwidth!

Does anyone here use Dreamwidth on a regular basis? How difficult is it to keep up with friends for both accounts? What are Dreamwidth communities like?

Yet all my friends are working for Microsoft. Do I need to get better friends?

Google has a great Easter egg hidden inside Google Maps. YES, this works. Below is a screenshot from my own computer.

We never go to the cinema, and since we were on vacation we decided to spend money just this once and did the IMAX 3D Tintin. I don't think the 3D really added much to the film (then again, I am not a big fan of 3D films anyway) but the IMAX was very nice. I don't know about the Tintin character, though. I never really thought "oh, that's Tintin" when I saw him, though they did really well with the other characters. I think it might be because they tried to make Tintin look very human, and he was a bit too skinny. And his eyes were too small. It's a shame, because I think they spend weeks and weeks trying to make Tintin look very genuine. However, the way Tintin moved was perfect. Quick, graceful, and competent-- even in the scenes on the ship where everyone is a shadow or a dimly lit figure, you could tell who was Tintin, and THAT is much more difficult to do. Great job there.

I will not deny I teared up at Haddock's "Don't ever think you're a failure" speech. I could really tell the people who made the film were die-hard fans, and I'm definitely seeing it again. Right after I see Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, which has everyone I would ever want to see in a film together. I'm really glad they chose Tom Hardy to replace Michael Fassbender (OH, T-HARD. BE STILL, MY HEART), but what could this film have been if we'd had all those people AND Fassbender. Oh my god, the world is not ready. *faint*

True story, Softer World. I'm actually a Humanist, but my parents (especially my mother. My dad is an engineer and doesn't put much stock in superstition) think I'm still Hindu. Oops?
