The Year of Retroficcing
May. 12th, 2012 11:06 amSo I realise I've been falling behind on fics I've promised to other people, fics that I've left hanging (so SO notoriously bad about this), and the backlog of stuff I've been meaning to go back and edit. The rest of this year is probably going to be catching up on this stuff. (This means I probably won't be as active in the challenges I've participated in before, like
smallfandomfest and doing the icons for
mcshep_match)
Right now, I'm at chapter 3 in editing The Professor's Wife, which is a project I'd been fretting about for some time. If I can be strict and do 2 chapters a day, I can get it done by next week (lofty goal) before looking for content betas. Do you guys in the xxxholic fandom know any good content betas, by any chance?
Right now I'm seeing what fics deserve precedence in my updating queue. Are there any particular ones you guys want to see more of in the near future? I kind of have to see what fandom mood I'm in, and what I can be inspired to pick up again.
Unfortunately, my original fics will probably be at the back of the itinerary. I really REALLY need to go back and edit Charles East before proceeding. I also need to get back in the Gothic horror mood to write more of Bones of Daniel Hamish and the Matthias Harsh stories.
