Steampunk

 Everybody I know on LJ is getting into steampunk nowadays. This makes me happy. I'm not sure what the impetus. Surely it isn't Charles East (which I am working on, I swear. I know last summer I had a new chapter out like, every few weeks, but aaaagh, there are so many things to do) or any of MY steampunk work, so I'm not sure what's going on. If it's getting people into steampunk, I totally want to know about it!

I'm really excited about it too, it makes me want to write something steampunk (and probably fail horribly.) I need more research material! and also, less things to write!

I wish the mainstream publishing would catch up already. The only steampunk books I've seen around sound horribad or are $20.

I swear, all of the steampunk I've read sound cool but have suspiciously specific adjectives in the summaries that make me realise it's actually a bodice er...corset ripper.

Now I want to write more Legerdemain, just looking at all the crap out there.
