HOLY SHIT, SHERLOCK
Jan. 1st, 2012 11:26 pmSo because of the lag across the pond, I watched Sherlock Series 1 E1 (EDIT: S2E1, Fumu is an idiot) a bit late.
Without going into spoilers, OH MY GOD, MY FEELINGS, MY HEART, BBC SHERLOCK. I don't think I was breathing through the entire thing, just sitting there on the edge of my bed with my cheap tinny earphones, my fingers in my mouth, exploding with emotion. I love how all the characters are becoming a family. It gives me such a warm glow inside. I don't know what exactly about them gives me the impression that several months have passed. Perhaps just the way they speak and look after one another, especially the Baker Street trio. (Mrs. Hudson is the loveliest woman ever.) This is SUCH a powerful episode. I'm actually glad they're only doing 3 a season. I don't think I could handle any more.

Date: 2012-01-02 11:54 am (UTC)I guess local networks just see how a season of anything foreign does in the original country before buying it to show locally. In fact, I think they have to buy the whole series at once, instead of episode by episode. I may have read something about that once. And then they have to plan it in between their own programmes... the months pile up easily, like that.
But yeah. Waiting almost a year to see if any networks here pick up The Mentalist season 4... I'll just get the episodes online as they come out in the US...
