Old Journals I
Aug. 7th, 2008 11:02 amSo now that I've got 13 days till I go off to college, I've begun to tackle the almost impossible seeming task of going through all my writing journals from 9-12 grade and typing up parts of stories I write down/getting rid of incriminating evidence.
This page is from one of my first notebooks, apparently named "The Notebook of Doom and Mild Indigestion. " Apparently I was really energy conscious back then.
It takes a certain amount of grain
to produce enough bread
to provide one person with a certain amount of energy
It takes ten times more grain
To feed one cow
To make enough beef
to provide one person with a certain amount of energy
And then one has a sandwich

Having an electronic journal would have been pretty nice.
Nowadays, I've stopped using journals for everything but school notes and random story ideas.
You know, I also seem to remember lost word files. I think they're on a stack of floppies I have in a desk drawer. I never saved them on my computer because, like you, I got it in 2006 and it did not come with a floppy drive. The drive was also a certain Dell-tailored size, so I couldn't just knock out part of a plastic sheath and install my old floppy drive.
So, I would perhaps check your old floppy comrades as a start.
