Oooooh. Nice link between Sherlock and Warehouse 13. :D I'm REALLY hoping Lydia's able to bring back Steve. He was such a good character and they handled him being gay so well. The show just has so much good. ^_^

YESSS. He and Claudia were the best broTP of all time. It was actually kind of weird, because they had such a great dynamic that felt like it had been there for multiple seasons, but they only had a handful of episodes together. But it was so comfortable and supportive, and I am a huge sucker for foster families forged in fire (which is why I love Stargate and all of Joss Whedon's work).

I really wish they could have gone more into Jinks's power, because it WAS kind of unusual. Having vibes or sensing auras is very organic in a way that being a human lie detector isn't. I remember Jinks said his ability restricted things like dating, and I think there is the potential for a lot of hilarity if they decide to go down a route like this. (I also kind of desperately wanted him to date Joshua Donovan, because it would be perfect and they would be adorable, and it would work because they're both crazy busy with no time for romance, and they know about the Warehouse. But that's just my cracky fannish mind.)

I was reading some of the background development they had ongoing with his character, and it seemed like they wanted to explore a lot with him. I really hope he comes back for more than a Simba I Live Through You death cameo at the beginning of the next season. I liked how they treated his sexuality as just a piece of him that's not a big deal, and he's just a regular dude. (Who would have thought that we're regular people? Perish the thought!) I was surprised that SciFi of all people created a character like this and handled him well, but I was very very happy.

Yeah. I think a lot of why they handled it so well was on the part of Eddie Mclintock and the writers actually LISTENING to him on how he thought Pete would handle it. So they nailed one of the hardest things about having an out character on a tv show. Only one i've seen equally well is Danny on MTV's Teen Wolf. Where it's all 'he's gay, who cares!?" Mild comic effect but with essentially the same shrug and go with it. Danny's not obvious gay either, just like Steve wasn't.

Yeah, i do want them to bring him back. He died because of plot points, but if Claudia wants something, she gets it. She also knows more than well enough now how to handle most of the Artifacts and deal with the usual dire consequences.

His power was very interesting, cause they rarely delve into such powers. There are reasons that true Soothsayers(Truthsayers) are shrouded in mystery. Not just the con(in a lot of cases), but because of what they handle. It's a powerful myth and ability, and Jinks was a great way to play with it and i wish they'd played with it more too! It's a rare thing, though it shows up fairly regularly in myth and legend because of it.
