Can I be real with you guys? I LOOOVE pretend-to-be-married!fics. There's just something about them: they're usually hilarious and heartwarming and just...hnnng. Love all of it, wish I could cuddle it close.

I'm randomly entangled with this particular trope at the moment in the Skyfall fandom. (Yeah, I have a bunch of unfinished stubs, but I have yet to post anything complete. This is apparently how I work in fandom, alas.) Bond and Q have trust issues by the tonne, so it's really fun to write so far, and I love writing Monepenny in this story because she takes everything in stride:

"I bought you an egg separator," Moneypenny said and held it out ceremoniously. "It separates eggs. Best wishes."

It was nice that someone was having a laugh about this, Q thought sourly and pocketed Moneypenny's wedding gift to blow up later.

Do you have any pretend-to-be-married!fics, Skyfall or no? I've read some really good Destiel ones in the Supernatural fandom, and other great AE fics in the Inception fandom, but I always welcome new stories or old favourites. :D

ngghh! pretend-marriage/boyfriends is also one of my weaknesses. especially if they're 'oh god nooooo' in the beginning :D

i love that trope too! i'm a little bit sad it isn't on my trope card but i got 'accidental marriage' and 'forced to marry' which is almost as good. XD

also, who doesn't need an egg separator. XD

Haha, I have a bad habit when it comes to fic. I start off strong and write a LOT, and then I peter out. It's really frustrating, because I have so many almost-finished fics just sitting on my hard drive. :(
I haven't even finished my skyfall driving fic yet. (I haven't been able to come up with a good title for it yet. Ideas?)
