Soo foam party was two days ago. (Well, technically yesterday morning, but whatever) It's an open party, something I'm not used to at the Glee Club house, so there were a lot of people there. The people from my hall last year came because they'd heard a lot about Glee Club parties from me. They seemed to enjoy themselves.

I was advised by a past chorus member to get there early before the foam gets disgusting. True true. We went about 10:10, and there were only about four people in the foam that was getting a good start on coming up to our thighs. (If no more people had come, Club could have totally filled the entire basement with foam. S-so cool! *^_^*

So we mucked about in the foam for like, forever. (It actually got more fun but less foamy after more people showed up. And everyone kept trying to put foam in my hair. What's up with MY hair that makes it such an alluring target?!) Then I hung out with the Club guys and caught up with some people I haven't seen since beach week. (Diesel's* friends came again, so I got to talk with the guy that works for EA again. I accidentally said, "Oh, you're the guy that works for A&E!" Woops. NOT the same thing.)

Then a lot of non chorus and club members started coming, and I actually knew a heck of a lot of people, which was fun. Dunkaroo* randomly went to the bar, said "She's in VIrginia Women's Chorus- she's cool" and the guy at the bar got me a drink. Umm...thanks, Dunk.

Weird being one of Those People now, the ones that sometimes have a VIP pass stamped to their foreheads. I was never one of Those People. Hell, I wasn't People. It's...kind of nice, yet strange.

And I really don't know if club's just nice to me because I'm in chorus or because they genuinely like me. This is what I don't like about identifying with a vaguely sorority-ish organisation. (No, Virginia Women's Chorus, I would never call you that! But there are some similarities, admittedly. I mean, no other clubs ever say, "She's with anime/sci fi club, she's cool. Buy her a drink,") So I don't know what's genuine and what's not. But I'm not giving Club enough credit- they really ARE a bunch of really nice people.

And of course per usual, the Club gathered around in the common room and sang for everyone at midnight with the chorus joining in. And Klondike* was keeping beat by thumping on the ceiling. Um...good call? It really was loud, because the non club/chorus people wouldn't shut up. *sigh* Philistines.

(*If you haven't already figured it out, Glee Club gives its members club names when they're inducted. I think the best name I've heard so far is their president Torpe, which means 'awkward' in Spanish)

And now it's back to working hard at Engineering school!

Ohhh, this week U2 and Muse are playing in the open air stadium across from where I live! I actually got in for free because I volunteered to do concessions with the Society of Women Engineers and the Darden Law Honour Fraternity. More on this after the concert on Thursday! I pass by every day on my way to class and they've built this sick stage. :D Pretty excited. I don't listen to much U2, but I do listen to Muse. They're only opening for U2, which is why I didn't purchase a ticket. That and knowing engineering school, I would have bought a ticket last semester and then had exams or something on Thursday and Friday. Haha, I cheated luck! (this is the part where the hubris kicks in, and I end up in an underground cave with a snake dripping venom on my face)
