These are not my views, just something I noticed. I always like the drummers and bassists more .Does this say something about me?

A list of band members in order of their rankings in the eyes of cameras:

1) The Singer:
The singer always has the most camera time, be it from his relative freedom of movement compared to his band mates or because most of these kind of bands have lyrics based music. Granted, the unfettered wireless freedom might be it, letting the frontmen be more flashy.
Backup singers get second picks after the guitarists. (like the guitarists: see next) Note that the backup singer is often the keyboardist, beucause of COURSE they can do both things at once.

2) The Guitarists:
Guitarists have a more elegant flash to them drawing from their uber skills. The amount of time guitarists is directly proportional to the number of their sw33t solos. The camera will first defer to the 'solo' guitarist and then pan over to the second guitarist. Sometimes the camera puts them in the same shot, especially if their putting their guitars close together and having a jam session.

3) The Drummer:
The drummer usually comes next when he's going nuts on a rhythm. They seem to sweat more than their band mates despite the fact that they're sitting down. The camera usually plays on this, and goes for a shot where the stage lights catch the fine spray of sweat coming off the drummer's hair as he thrashes

4) Keyboardist:
Hmm, not often seen in the kind of bands I'm thinking of, but often enought that I'll put it in. They keyboardists get screeentime when there's an especially trippy part. Being a keyboardist must be terribly exciting, but the camera always seems to swoop in at a bad time. The action's in the fingers, man! If you just do a wide shot of the keyboard, of course it's going to look totally lame!
(note: Vadim, the Dragonforce keyboardist, (see picture) makes it WORK. I feel like that entire band is just full of badasses)

5) The Bassist:
Stereotyped as the 'quiet shoegazer' of the group, the bassist is often the cool collected designated driver. Not often drawn into the camera unless chilling with the guitarists because I mean, we wouldn't want people to think we should look sober and responsible on television. There's an air of chill awesomeness about them stemming from their quieter personality. Put next to the guitarists when the guitarists are thrashing around so we have a nice contrast.

Bands in order of appearance: Queen, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Dragonforce, Larc en Ciel

Highly amusing and very true. Lessee... in a classical orchestra, the keyboardist is the first to be panned up on (after the conductor), then the strings (violins mostly) and wind instruments (flutes, always), then the brass (trumpets and saxophonists always compete for camera time) and percussions are always last, for some reason. xD
