Had a good birthday in general. We went to Thai 99, which is this delicious Thai place near the university. Then we went back to my place for tiramisu, which I'd brought from home, and then we went into the common lounge to play Ninjas.
How to Play Ninjas:
1) Everyone gets into a circle and puts a hand in the middle. Someone says "Three, two, one, ninjas!" Everyone springs back into a certain position.
2) The object of the game is to hit people's hands and get them out. You only have one fluid move to try and hit them, and likewise, they only have one fluid move to avoid you. You both have to hold your positions at the end of the moves. If you hit them, they walk out of the circle and sit out the rest of the game. They are not out unless you hit them on the hand.
3) You go around in a circle with each person getting a turn to hit someone else. You think because you can anticipate who will strike, it's an easy game. But it's NOT!

After Ninjas, we went upstairs again to watch Young Frankenstein, and my friend Carlos bought me the movie The Fountain. Some of the group just finished playing Mario-Party, and now people have left. Will asked whether I wanted to go to showings, (anime club does showings every Sat. They're showing Gundam 08th MS Team, which I LOVE, but I'm tired as heck from interacting with people all day. I guess I'm a bit of an introvert like that ^_^)
So, it was a pretty good birthday. And anime club is throwing a party next week. Very exciting.
