I'm off to see Jonathan Coulton and They Might Be Giants in concert today! TMBG is doing their entire Flood album and some greatest hits. I'm not sure what Coulton is doing- probably greatest hits too.

I was supposed to go with a friend, but he had to cut out at the last minute. :( Hopefully he'll be able to attend- things are just so much more fun with him around. (He might be one of the only people who understands almost all of my obscure geeky references and can make enough of his own to keep me on my toes) Cool kid, bright future, slightly crazed.

But it will be a whole concert hall full of geeks, all of our brethren. The oppressed code monkeys, the mathematicians, the gamers, the sock-sandal wearers and the ones that dress up as jedi no matter what convention they're at. It will be marvellous. (But I'm still paranoid about getting robbed, so I'm probably not bringing my credit card. Keep in mind that I'm paranoid about everything)

Heyyyy~ i thought they were just down here. that's pretty cool. (Friend of mine mentioned he had tickets.)

Sadly they lack the nerd chicks who're sensitive to loud noises. I can't go to ANY concert no matter how cool unless it's pure acoustics and classical. I fail hardcore.

I LOVE the geek description, though. I would dress up as a Jedi, and ask if the concert WAS a convention, knowing me.
