Does anyone watch the TV show Teen Wolf? Is it any good? I chose not to watch it because I was a Big Wolf on Campus fan first, and I thought it would be far too derivative. From looking at both shows, I think Teen Wolf is a bit more serious whereas all the best fun in BWoC was the fantastic cheese and humour. (And the spectacularity of Merton J. Dingle. And Tommy/Merton being like, the most amazing practically-canon thing ever)

Yeah, it's kind of like that. Constantly.

I'm always looking for a growing and vibrant supernatural (note the uncapitalisation) fandom, and Grimm's fandom is a bit...I don't know. It's not really going anywhere, but I think that's more to do with the show than the fandom. I thought I might give Teen Wolf a shot because according to sources the fandom for Teen Wolf is good. The BWoC fandom is unfortunately a bit scattered since the show hasn't been on television for a long time.

This is what fandom looks like as it's seducing you

So for all you Teen Wolf fans, would you recommend the show and why? Also, yeah, this post just devolved into a giant BWoC picspam.

I read this piece some time ago from a post on my flist, and I've always thought of it. I was overjoyed to track it down again and read more of Coyote's work, which is amazing.

NOTE: This bit below is incorrect. Refer to [livejournal.com profile] theotherdibbler's comments below for details.

Please note that this document has a pretty major typo. Ivan Coyote does not believe in gender binary and prefers the 'they' pronoun. Coyote's author bio should read:

Ivan E. Coyote was born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon. A renowned performer and an award-winning author of six collections of short stories, one novel, three CDs, and four short films, Ivan’s first love is live storytelling. They have become an audience favourite at music, poetry, spoken-word, and writer’s festivals from Anchorage to Amsterdam. Ivan’s column, Loose End, has appeared monthly in Xtra West magazine since 2001. Their first novel, Bow Grip , received the ReLit award for best fiction, was named by the American Library Association as a Stonewall Honor book in literature, and is in development to be made into a feature-length film.

NOTE: All the above up to the note is incorrect.
